Who is Erasmus?
Desiderius Erasmus, one of the prominent representatives of Renaissance Humanism and known as the father of Humanism, was a Dutch philosopher who lived in the 15th century. He visited different countries in Europe as both a student and an academic and lived as a traveler throughout his life. He always advocated the freedom of thought and goodness. He also aimed to spread fine arts and science and to unite Europe under a common understanding of art and science. His name was given to the program due to his considerable impact on the educational philosophy of its era.
